New York recently enacted sweeping harassment prevention legislation with requirements for employers - all employers - in New York State. This includes training all employees on how to identify and prevent sexual harassment, and creating new sexual harassment prevention policies for all employers - by January 1, 2019. New York City passed new legislation as well, with its own set of requirements.
